ADHA participation in Trade Exhibitions and Conferences with other health organisations

APHA Congress (18 & 19 October 2010 at the Sydney Hilton)

ADHA secured and manned a Trade Stand at the APHA Congress to raise the profile and promote the day hospital industry to the private hospital sector and fellow Trade Exhibitors. We were pleased with the large number of visitors to the stand ranging from day hospital personnel, large hospital personnel, health fund personnel, fellow Trade Exhibitors asking a variety of questions.

ACORN Conference (19 & 22 May 2010 at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre)

ADHA Trade Exhibition Stand and Presentation at the ACORN 14th National Conference in Perth, 19-22 May 2010

The presentation and ADHA Trade Stand was extremely successful at this conference.

Jane Griffiths, ADHA Vice President, presented on behalf of ADHA during the Thursday Program at 3.20pm promoting the positive employment prospects of working in day hospitals for the perioperative nurse. ADHA also participated in the Trade Exhibition by securing a stand to promote day hospitals Australia-wide and as an employment option for perioperative nurses in particular, together with the benefits of ADHA membership.

ADHA participates in a small number of Trade Exhibitions as part of external conferences held by key organisations in the health care industry that are relevant to day hospitals also. The purpose is to promote day hospitals on behalf of our members to the wider health community from both a patient perspective, as an employment option for staff and to Government and other external bodies. They are also used to raise the profile of ADHA on behalf of it's members with the same group.
